The Plight Of The Author
By A.j James
Bare Knuckle Writers The majority of articles that you might find in an article directory are most probably written by full time article marketers who are using directories to get links and traffic back to their blog. This shows that there is obviously a very real, tangible effect from article submission. The average "Joe marketer" also is usually aware of the value of writing pages specifically for article directories, intentionally with the goal in mind to create an increased SEO effect. No serious blogger has done their time without significant submissions. Getting Ideas Generally the articles you write are directly related to the subject that you have written about on your blog. For purposes of making a page for a directory, it may not suit you to write an article that exceeds the value of the very one on your blog that you are trying to promote. Take a few bullet points and use them as a teaser, but let the real page be the main course - Don't work back to front. Research This is tricky, because in essence you want to write good articles, but as a serious article marketer, you know that there is a minimum level of productivity that you must adhere to, to be successful, so time spent researching must be time that pays off handsomely otherwise it is probably better spent on other endeavors. Keywords There is some confusion surrounding the premise of using the same keywords for your directory article as the page for your blog. On the one hand you want the relevant anchor text in the links and title, but you don't necessarily want the article to push your page out of the serp's. The key is to keep your directory submission at about 60% of the quality and density of your target article to even out the weight of their PR versus yours. The Right Target When in doubt opt for ezinearticles. Frankly, you can't go wrong unless your an idiot and the links are worth a ton. If however you are impatient and want to get your submission in straight away and care not to wait an entire week for approval then Goarticles a probably your next best bet. To get high quality links, you most likely need to purchase them, trade for them, or best of all create them yourself.
