Rejection From Article Directories

Anyone can write any old piece of garbage, but when you slave tirelessly over a piece of art that depicts your entire quality as a writer only to see it rejected - Funny things can happen. Making amends is usually the first port of call as you concede the adjustments that are recommended in the rejection, but that is not the actions of every article writer as some in fact take a little article rejection to heart very seriously - Maybe a but too seriously. Let's look at the writers point of view You create a piece of genuine unique content and you offer it up to a directory for free, they can use it and make money from it and all that you ask is for them to put it on their crummy website and to acknowledge you for your contribution. Not too much to ask eh? Let's look at the article directory moderators point of view You create an article directory with a mission statement to be the best and highest quality resource on the web. You have in place a set of well thought out guidelines and procedures to deal with articles and you construct a minimum level of quality for your submissions. This will help to hold the integrity of your directory and the articles held within. Then one day a writer offers up an article to your fine establishment, which frankly is pretty good, but you clearly state in the user guidelines that all articles must be at least 500 words long and contain only one outward pointing link. The article and the writer fail to meet the set rules and as is your duty to the directory and your other writers - You reject it. My Verdict it's true that article directories have it too good at times as energetic writers clammer to offer up their wares, but the fact remains that rules are rules and if a writer can not be bothered to read them then rejection of their best efforts for this failing seems more than fair to me. |
