How To build links naturally
If you want your link building to look nice and natural, then there are a couple of things you need to do that might seem a little strange or at least unusual. This is because they may seem to fly in the face of convention, most likely the very conventional link building strategies that you consider the bread and butter of in bound link growth.
The first one I'd like to talk about is anchor text, which most people believe is necessary to "own" a key word, which is right in essence, but has been taken too far. Smart link builders vary their anchor text so that they don't look spammy, but even smarter webmasters, don't always use href tags - Why? - Because you need some url links to rate well, because this is they way links grow naturally. Consider this? your site is called www.marketbananasunday.com - Now if some one asked another person for the link would they give them the straight url with http://www.marketbananasunday, or would they anchor text it with href tags to own the "cheap bananas" key word?
They would just pass along the url wouldn't they?
So, when it comes to natural link building you need to think about dropping some url only links. Another bone of contention is that of dofollow links, which are considered the only ones of value. Although these are the links that are counted, if you don't have any nofollow backlinks pointing to your site, it wont look natural. So it's kind of important to build some natural nofollow links, even if it seems futile.
So, be sure to incorporate these 2 necessities into your attempts to achieve a natural link building look and it will most likely be a good strategy that will pay of. |
