Low Glycemic Index Foods

By Aj James

Low Gi

Personally it's the basis of my diet. My theory has always been that if you control insulin and sugar, then you control fat burning.

Whether you exercise or NOT!

Which of course I do, hence the need for optimized nutrition.

Not For Everyone

If you have to eat regimented food then it can be a little bit of a strain, if you have to go even further then it can be next to impossible to achieve.

The beauty of eating low gi is that you get filling food, tasty healthy nutrition and you maximize the fat burning effect of the very thermic effect that eating food can give you.

It's really not that heady stuff.

Eat - Be Full - Feel Good

I like low density foods like wombok, pakchoy, and all those veggies that contain no calories whatsoever.

They taste good and fill you up.

I eat stir fry meat and veggies three times per week. It gives me a meal that is very low in bad fats, with some good fats from peanut oil and has a low, low glycemic profile.

It's nice to go to bed with your blood sugar in check knowing that you're going to burn fat for the next 8-9 hours and wake up lighter.

It's a really motivating factor.

Don't just take my word for it.

Every bodybuilder, body sculptor or athlete worth their salt know about carb cycling and the power of low gi nutrition to keep full, fit but not fat.

I suggest you investigate it for yourself and make 90% of the carbohydrates you eat low gi.

Good luck with the weight control.

AJ like to wax lyrical on the rather boring-to-some subject of carpet cleaning. You can find out more carpet cleaning info at his Carpet Cleaning FAQ Page
