DropJack - The Next Digg?
By Sam Samuels
Dropjack is a Pligg based submit and vote style website. It is very similar to Digg and is a useful site to have in your webmasters arsenal. To get back links to your own website, you just add a link to your article on the site or blog of your choosing. Others vote on your submission and if it gets popular, you can gain a nice little stream of traffic coming back to your site. The key to using Dropjack, like all social networking site is to make friends, comment on other articles and vote a lot. This always leads to reciprocal voting. Dropjack is nowhere near the size of Digg, so don't go expecting 100,000 hits if you make the front page, but unlike Digg - You don't have a couple of million submissions to compete with, so you have every chance to dominate. Why Dropjack? Well, rather than me just saying "why not?", I'd like to point out that because it is an easy to join and use format, it makes life very easy and extremely fast. You won't use up much time, but you will gain a back link or to, not to mention some supplementary traffic coming your way. There are a few other Pligg sites that definitely rate a mention such as StuffDaily and TopCategory. These are a lot like Dropjack in that you need only take a few minutes to join and submit and you may reap a steady trickle, stream or flow of traffic. Use as many social networks as you can to build up links and traffic. If everyone else is doing it, but you're not - Then you'll be left behind. |

I've used DropJack pretty routinely. I can say that I've seen an increase in voting and in the number of quality articles and items being submitted in the past 6 months.
